Buyer and distributor guide

How can a repeat articulating paper order avoid a product mismatch?

Short answer

Use the previous order as a reference, not as proof of current availability. Ask the supplier to confirm the exact current model and package against the prior record, and list any differences explicitly. Keep an unresolved field unresolved. Matching color, nominal thickness or appearance does not establish the same SKU, an approved substitution or equivalent clinical performance.

A repeat order is a confirmation task

“The same as last time” is a useful starting point, but it may not identify the product clearly enough for a new order. An old order reference, photograph or catalog name should be connected to the supplier's current product information before the buyer confirms a replacement or repeat purchase.

The following record is intended for buyers and distributors. It does not claim that ASHUR has changed a product, has a particular traceability system, or currently supplies a model that has not been verified.

Compare the previous record with the proposed order

On small screens, scroll the table horizontally to compare the same row.

Item Previous confirmed record Current supplier reply Decision
Product and model reference Copy the original reference without inventing a code Ask for the exact current reference Confirm a match or document the stated difference
Material and nominal thickness Retain the wording and units used previously Ask which specification applies to the proposed model Clarify different wording; do not assume equivalence
Color and physical format Record what the prior model actually specified Record what is confirmed for the new order Treat a changed attribute as a question, not an automatic substitute
Package and order unit Record the confirmed contents, where documented Confirm the current relationship and quantity Do not convert units using an unrelated model
Supporting product information Keep the version or date if present Ask which current information applies Do not silently select one of conflicting records
Quantity and timing Treat prior terms as historical Confirm the current request Separate lead time from expected arrival

This table is an information-organizing tool, not a test result or order confirmation. See the source and scope note.

Blank fields are acceptable. They show what still needs an answer. A filled-in table with guessed relationships is less useful than a short, explicit list of unresolved questions.

What should happen if something does not match?

For the proposed order, classify the information as confirmed match, change disclosed, or not yet confirmed. These are suggested buyer-record labels, not ASHUR product statuses or regulatory terms.

A disclosed change should state what differs and which product the current offer covers. If a label, quotation and product sheet appear inconsistent, ask for a written clarification linking them to the exact model. Do not resolve the discrepancy by choosing the most convenient description.

Accepting a commercial substitute and establishing clinical equivalence are different questions. This article supplies neither a clinical comparison nor authority to replace a product in a patient-specific workflow. Applicable product instructions and any necessary professional review remain separate.

Keep independent specification lists out of SKU creation

A product-family page may list formats, colors and thicknesses separately. That does not confirm every possible combination, and it does not reconstruct a missing order code. A familiar-looking package also does not, by itself, resolve an unclear model relationship.

Review the ASHUR articulating-paper product information, then ask for confirmation of the actual model relevant to the reorder. No new SKU, stock status or discontinued-product claim is created by this guide.

Current ASHUR order terms still need order-specific confirmation

The approved master records an MOQ of 100 boxes per model and a standard lead time of 7 days for regular products. A previous transaction does not establish an exception to the MOQ. The standard lead time is not an international delivery guarantee, and the exact new order still requires confirmation.

Do not carry over an old dispatch or arrival date as though it applied to the next purchase.

A concise reorder inquiry

“Please use my previous order reference as a starting point and confirm the exact current model, package/order unit, requested quantity and applicable product information. Please list any differences separately and leave unconfirmed fields open. Please confirm the current lead time without treating it as an arrival guarantee.”

Use a commercial reference, not patient-identifiable material. This wording is an inquiry template, not an accepted order.

Confirm your specific inquiry

Start with product information, then describe the specific quotation or repeat-order reference. Model, quantity and commercial terms still require confirmation.
